This month in our "Employee Spotlight" we are getting to know David Herrera, our Production Manager.

David is one of our team members with the most seniority, which makes him a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the sprayer industry. He plays a key role here at Sprayer Depot by coordinating operations across departments including establishing the production schedule, designing custom sprayers and ensuring quality control. He makes sure that your sprayer is built on time and with the highest standard of quality!

Here's what he had to say:

Name: David Herrera
Title: Production Manager
Originally from: Florida

Q: What’s your favorite song or one that's stuck in your head?
A: I don’t have one favorite song, but lately I’ve been listening to Dr. Dre’s new album Compton pretty much non-stop. Instant Classic!

Q: What is the last book you read?
A: Gary Dell'Abate: They Call Me Baba Booey

Q: Do you have an inspirational quote that you live by?
A:“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend."

Q: Ok, if you were a superhero, with a sprayer as your secret weapon, what would be your magic power?
A: Teleportation, so I could instantly go anywhere in the world, without the hassle of travel.

Q: Will you tell us something most people don't know about you?
A: I’ve been in the sprayer industry for 12 years.

Q: Care to share the best tip for someone in the sprayer industry?
A: Keep stock of common wear items like strainer gaskets, diaphragms, and in some cases, a spare pump, to keep you going in case something fails in the field. There is nothing worse than being down for a day or two while waiting for parts to arrive.

Q: What’s the best part of joining the Sprayer Depot team?
A: Definitely the people I work with and the environment we create. We work hard and play hard. There is an old saying, popularized by Jack Nicholson’s character in The Shining, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” There is no dullness at Sprayer Depot.
